Flinders will join the South Adelaide Colonnades Blitz Meet the Panthers event at the Colonnades Shopping Centre (upper level, near the food court) this Saturday (13 February) between 10am and 3pm.
Staff will be on hand to answer questions about university study from the public as part of the Panthers promotional day that will include appearances by the coach and players.
Flinders students will also be involved in running activities at the Panthers Big Backyard at Hickinbotham on Friday, 19 February. The free community event runs from 6pm to 8pm and includes a free sausage sizzle and a variety of activities, as well as player appearances and a live cross for the Channel 7 weather.
The University’s partnership with the Panthers, which began in 2010, allows work placements of Flinders students in various roles with the Club and also covers educational and professional development opportunities for Panthers staff, players and members, and support for the club’s outreach and mentoring programs, as well as sponsorship by Flinders of the club’s senior team.
