Professor John Spoehr of the Business School and the Australian Industrial Transformation Institute was interviewed for ABC and commercial radio and was widely quoted in newspaper articles about the award of the submarine contract to a French firm, and the projected economic effects for South Australia. Professor Spoehr also wrote a commentary on the decision for the Conversation.

Academics from the School of Social and Policy Studies, Dr Ian Goodwin-Smith, Dr Helen McLaren and Professor Sarah Wendt, did several radio interviews about domestic violence, its precursors and the possibility of early intervention, spurred by a Flinders study that surveyed perpetrators as well as victims.
