On Tuesday, 17 May, SANTPEN – the ‘Promoting Excellence Network’ for tertiary institutions in South Australia and Northern Territory – will run a three-hour workshop on ‘teaching awards and career development,’ and you’re invited to attend.
SANTPEN is funded by the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) and offers activities in relation to OLT programs (e.g. teaching awards, grants, fellowships).
The workshop will outline the different sorts of university and national awards on offer and then focus on the key elements of developing robust, competitive applications. The guest speaker is Dr Peter Denney, Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science at Griffith University, who is a recipient of Griffith and OLT citations and awards for teaching excellence. Peter’s experience will be invaluable when it comes to your own thinking about teaching awards and career development.
Date: Tuesday, 17 May 2016
Time: 9am to 12.30pm
Venue: GK3-28, George Kingston Building, UniSA, City West campus
