Open access publisher Biomed Central named Associate Professor Sharon Lawn of the Department of Psychiatry as its Section Editor of the Year.

Associate Professor John Guenther (Education), who led research showing the importance of Indigenous staff in improving attendance of Indigenous school students, was interviewed by ABC radio. The interview was broadcast across rural and remote areas in Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Associate Professor Robert Phiddian’s review of several books on political cartooning focused on the struggle to portray Malcolm Turnbull; it was published in online magazine Inside Story.
