Flinders Art Museum photographic exhibit honours SA’s World War II veterans

Flinders University Art Museum is now showing ‘Wish me luck: Honouring our World War II Veterans’, until 11 September 2016 at the Flinders University City Gallery, in the State Library of South Australia.

On Anzac Day 2015, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) embarked on a nationwide project for the Anzac Centenary to photograph Australia’s surviving World War II veterans.

In South Australia alone 1050 portraits were taken over a seven month period, and this exhibition presents a selection of those works.

‘Wish me luck: Honouring our World War II Veterans’ is an Australian Institute of Professional Photography and Flinders University Art Museum exhibition in partnership with Atkins Photo Lab and Veterans SA, curated by Louise Bagger (AIPP) and Sharon Cleary (Veterans SA).
