Red Cross movie night at the Capri

Take a trip through the world of Red Cross at a special one-off movie night in Adelaide this weekend.

Movie Night at the Capri has been organised as part of the Histories of the Red Cross Movement Conference, which is being held in Adelaide from 9 to 11 September. The Australian Red Cross hosted event will feature three short films, a light dinner and Q&A with Red Cross experts. T

The films give a glimpse inside a Hungarian refugee camp in Austria (‘Humanity’s Crusade’ 1957), a Red Cross program distributing milk to children during a drought in India (‘Fighting Hunger’ 1967) and film in the style of TV quiz show about blood donation (‘This is your blood’ 1985).

When: Saturday 10 September 6.30pm for 7.30pm screening

Tickets: $35pp and available online through Flinders University.

The Histories of the Red Cross Movement Conference has been organised by four historians interested in the history of the Red Cross Movement, and has attracted participants from around the world.
