Compliance with the Children’s Protection Act

The University has recently established a Child Safe Environment Policy and Procedure as part of its commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people accessing services offered by the University, in accordance with the Children’s Protection Act.

The University has commenced initiating child-related employment screening applications for staff members who occupy prescribed positions.

If you are in a continuing or fixed term position which has been deemed prescribed, you will receive an email during the months of October and November  with instructions regarding the screening application process.

You can also check if your position has been deemed prescribed via the self-service prescribed position checker.
