Physical Education Studies 50th Anniversary Lecture and Reunion event

This year Flinders University, in celebrating its 50th year, will acknowledge the contribution of Physical Education Studies at a lecture and reunion event to be held on Monday December 5th, 3.30-5.00pm.

Physical Education is the largest of all the School of Education undergraduate subject specialisations and has a rich history of providing quality learning experiences.

The celebration will be held in the ASMS (Australian Science & Mathematics School) building, which is next to the University’s home for Physical Education Studies, the Sturt Gymnasium.

A representative selection of staff and students will present their reflections on how their studies in Physical Education influenced and enhanced their professional careers in areas including teaching, education, sport, media, politics, the arts, business and government.

The event will follow the first day of the ACHPER (SA) Secondary H&PE Conference. Visit the website for more information.

A Flinders University Physical Education Studies Facebook page has been created to further promote the event – please ‘like’ the page and share with relevant alumni, students and colleagues, both past and present.

The event will create an important opportunity to highlight the value of completing a University degree with a study focus in Physical Education as well as acting as a catalyst for reunion celebrations. Drinks and light finger food will be provided.

Event organisers are encouraging anyone who is interested to also share the word among their colleagues.

Please register your attendance here.
