Flinders’ holistic approach to safety, health and wellbeing

Flinders is committed to building and maintaining a work environment that supports a holistic approach to safety, health and wellbeing.

The University has developed the Health and Wellbeing program for 2017 based around the ‘Work Health Model’ and encompasses these four fundamental principles:

·         Healthier Bodies

·         Healthier Minds

·         Healthier Culture

·         Healthier Places

The program will be aimed at increasing staff knowledge and providing tools and a range of activities that will assist staff to make healthier lifestyle choices that will deliver direct health benefits both personally and professionally.

Please visit  http://www.flinders.edu.au/whs/wellbeing/wellbeing_home.cfm for further information on the factors that underpin these principles.

The Work Health Safety Unit in conjunction with Flinders’ Health Insurance Partner- Bupa, together with other external resources are excited to share our calendar of events for 2017.

Staff are invited to get on board and make note of upcoming events with each month dedicated to a health focus area. So make an active choice and come along and participate in the scheduled activities, and information session.
