Last week, Flinders unveiled its new document storage and collaboration solution, Microsoft OneDrive for Business.
The enterprise cloud-based platform enables you to store up to 1 Terabyte (1000 Gigabytes) of work data “in the cloud”.
You can also access your data from any compatible web browser, computer, tablet, or smartphone; and share documents with a work group, or collaborators external to Flinders.
If you’d like to have your data available on your local PC or Mac, so that you can work with it offline, you can do that as well.
To find out how, refer to the online guidance on how to set up OneDrive for Business on your computer.
This explains how to share data between OneDrive for Business (in the cloud) and your computer (locally), and keep it all in sync.
You can find OneDrive for Business on your Flinders dashboard (Okta). Or if you’re using Windows 10, OneDrive is already integrated – look for it in your Windows 10 Start Menu.
If your Flinders computer is eligible to be upgraded to Windows 10, you can request this yourself via the ITS Support Portal.
To help you get the most of OneDrive for Business, you can book online to attend a OneDrive for Business training session at:
• Bedford Park on 1, 2, 3, or 10 May
• Tonsley on 8 May
• Victoria Square on 17 May
• Remote sites, including the Northern Territory – the session on 3 May at Bedford Park will be video-streamed.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact ITS.
