International development expert, Cara Ellickson, is heading up a Flinders team to implement a Women in Leadership course to help Vietnam achieve greater gender equality in the workforce.

The Australia Awards Short Course, called ‘Women in Leadership Journey’, is being taught at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in Vietnam (pictured).

The ten-month program will provide an intensive learning experience for 19 female managers and lecturers from universities in Vietnam’s northern mountainous region.

This course forms part of the Advancing Women in Leadership component of Aus4Skills – a five-year Australian Government program designed to help Vietnam implement a broad array of high level professional and technical capabilities.
