Free eye tests and discounts on glasses

Flinders Vision is offering eye tests free of charge.

Flinders staff, their families and all students are also eligible for a 25% discount on glasses and sunglasses and 20% discount on contact lenses.

The clinic has complete pairs of glasses available from $95, and over 700 spectacle frames on display for adults and children.

Flinders Vision can also supply a broad range of contact lenses, solutions and accessories.

The optometry clinic provides a bulk billing service to Medicare clients and to those on overseas student health cover (OSHC) – BUPA, Medibank, Allianz, NIB and AHM.

It is open for all staff, their families and students of Flinders University, Flinders Medical Centre, and the general public.

Flinders Vision uses the latest technology in imaging and testing equipment to assist in providing the best standard of care available.

Highly experienced dispensing staff are on hand to help resolve more complex issues with glasses.

For half the year, Flinders Vision operates as a teaching clinic for final year optometry students where all examinations are overseen by highly experienced optometrists.

For the remainder of the year, the clinic’s optometrists conduct examinations.

Flinders Vision also runs optometry clinics to support the community with brain injury and stroke rehabilitation, sports optometry requirements, occupational vision requirements, eye health needs for those on the autism spectrum (chartered with Autism SA), Contact Lens Clinic, Diabetic Eye Clinic, Aviation Optometry, macular degeneration and glaucoma clinic.

Flinders Vision is open 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and is located adjacent to Car Park 13 on Sturt Campus.
