As part of the University’s roof renewal project, builders are now working on replacing the Matthew Flinders Theatre canopy at the Bedford Park campus.

After recent completion of the Union Building’s roof restoration, Flinders’ Buildings and Property Division has commenced work to replace roofing that covers the entry to the library, security office, Matthew Flinders Theatre Foyer and thoroughfare to Flinders Laneway.

Work will be conducted in the evenings and at night until Saturday 28 April, although there will be no works on Thursday 22 March due to a function in the Theatre.

Staff should be aware that intermittent noise and vibration may occur during the repair work.

There will be restricted access through the affected areas, which are festooned with safety fencing and identified by signage.

Flinders’ roof renewal project will also include replacing the Drama Centre roof in April 2018.
