Accounting student of the year

Marithe Solis, a Flinders Alumna, was awarded accounting student of the year at the 2018 Australian Accounting Awards held on 1 June 2018 in Sydney.

A recent graduate of Flinders, Ms Solis holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Advanced Leadership and Accounting/Finance) degree, and thanked her university, saying her win would not have been possible without “everything I’ve learnt and experienced at the university.”

As part of her degree, Ms Solis undertook work integrated learning at BankSA.

The awards are presented each year by Accountants Daily in collaboration with principle partner Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting. A total of 29 firms and individuals were presented with coveted national awards.

Ms Solis’ win represents the second in recent years for Flinders University graduates, with Zac Robson winning the prestigious honour in 2016.
