Flinders leads digital and screen success + free tickets!

Flinders can again boast success in the highly acclaimed international digital design awards The Rookies, with several Flinders/ CDW students announced among the winners of the 2018 competition.

Aden Beaver won an internship at the internationally-leading visual effects company Method Studios, Emma Wittwer and Ryan Mugan won scholarships at the online school CG spectrum, with Emma also winning a scholarship with Rising Sun Pictures and UniSA. The official school results for The Rookies will be released in August and Flinders is hoping to take home a title for the second year in a row.

The wins come amid news of high achievements from Flinders University’s Creative Arts (screen) graduates, including:

Stephanie Jaclyn (2015, BCA (Screen)) who received a $9930 Carclew development grant and $3950 funding from the Helpmann Academy to create a short “drama mystery” film project Wake.

Rachael Wegener (2004, BCom; 2007, BA; 2008, BCreatArts (Hons, Screen)) who was recently announced as a Screen Producers Australia ‘2018 Ones To Watch’. Rachael is an actress / producer / director who has been based in Australia and Canada, and has built many film credits to her name in her short career.

Tom Goodall (2013, BCA (Screen) and BCA (Hons) 2014), who is currently based in Los Angeles working at the international mega-hub Disney.

Storm Ashwood (2001, BA), who will premiere his horror film The School at the 2018 Monster Film Festival on Friday 27 July.
