Science communication entrepreneur Andrew Stapleton from Verbalize Science has won the 2018 Hybrid World Conference pitching competition, winning $40,000 to further develop his business.

Dr Stapleton went through Venture Dorm in 2017, where he took out the Silver eNVIe award for his research communication platform, which he has since re-branded.

His business specialises in transforming scientific research uploaded to the website into social media videos, podcasts and other communication vehicles. A key benefit to users is the promise of a quick, one-week turnaround on uploads.
