Website improvements

Flinders University now has multiple websites, each targeting a different audience.

The advantage of having separate websites is that each one, including its navigation, search and content, can be tailored to its specific audience to provide a better user experience.

Content on the new sites is organised a little differently to what staff may be used to. It is now information/task driven and not team/department focused, which means that a user does not need to know what team is responsible for something to find it.

Search

Searches provide a different experience depending on the site searched from – optimised to return results for the target audience of that website. For example, searching for the term ‘academic integrity’ on the student website will return information for students on academic integrity. On the staff site, it will return staff-focused content on how to manage academic integrity issues.

Visibility

All of the websites are accessible to the general public but include some areas that are FAN protected for staff or students only.

New staff content
