Creating a commotion for a great cause

The University will open its doors to school students, teachers, parents and future students from across the State this week for a vibrant display of all that Flinders has to offer.

Staff can expect Bedford Park to overflow with eager eyes and interactive demonstrations amid campus tours and more than 160 information sessions over Friday 16 and Saturday 17 August.

Guests are invited to get a taste of ‘life and learning’ at Flinders and step towards an amazing future, with every College pulling out all the stops to entice, intrigue and inform.

They will get a chance to pick the real headlines from the fake news, see if they have what it takes to make it out of the Escape Room and most importantly, plan their day to immerse themselves in the activities and information most pertinent to them through an ingenious online planner.

Open Days is the most important student recruitment event of the year, with 41% of people who registered for 2018 Open Days going on to apply for a Flinders course.

A fantastic opportunity to engage with prospective students, parents, friends and schools, the University is deeply grateful to the extensive efforts made by staff to immerse themselves in the event and demonstrate why Flinders is the right choice.

Campus may be a little chaotic this Friday, but it’s for a great cause.

Office of Communication, Marketing and Engagement Executive Director Callista Thillou invites everyone to spread the news and support the event, by join in and bringing friends and family.

“If you know anyone who may be interested in studying at university then this is the perfect opportunity to introduce them to Flinders,” she says.

“Please let them know about our exciting plans for this year’s Open Days by sharing our Open Days Facebook event.”

Visitors can use a new online planner for information on activities and tours and register their attendance on our website for the chance to win a 13″ MacBook Air worth more than $2,000.00.
