Held in more than 600 universities across 65 countries, the 3MT is a global competition that celebrates and supports the communication of academic research.

Competitors have just three minutes to effectively communicate their research projects to a non-specialist audience, with nothing more than a single power point slide and their own public speaking skills.

As well as the significant benefits of participating in such a dynamic competition, participants can win cash prizes at every level of the finals. The Flinders University winner is set to take away $2,000 and will head to Brisbane to compete in the 2019 Asia-Pacific 3MT, for the chance to win a $5,000 research travel grant.

Join the exhilarating atmosphere of the 3MT finals and find out about the inspiring research Flinders PhD students are undertaking.
