Innovative approach to screen success

An interactive film event, the brainchild of a Flinders alumnus, provided the opportunity for emerging South Australian filmmakers to showcase works-in-progress and receive valuable feedback prior to completing their projects.

The event, Test Fest, was held at the Queen’s Theatre on 11 October 2019, hosted by Dr Nicholas Godfrey, with support from the Adelaide City Council.

Organised by Manny Ashman (BCA Screen, 2015), creations by several Flinders graduates were screened at the event, including from Mr Ashman, Andrew Ilicic (BCA Screen Hons, 2018), and Bryce Kraehenbuehl and Alex Salkicevic (both BCA Screen, 2017).

The film by Mr Kraehenbuehl and Mr Salkicevic, Carrie’s Doing Great, was supported by initiatives and grants from the Media Resource Centre, Helpmann Academy, and Carclew – providing an excellent opportunity for Flinders to showcase these sector partnerships.
