Harnessing technology for better ageing

Flinders University will present at a forum relevant to all, on the ability of technology to help us age better.

Hosted in conjunction with the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the event will feature a talk by Professor Anthony Maeder on the Flinders Assistant for Memory Enhancement (FAME) app. His team led a recent study to test the feasibility of the tablet-based platform to deliver physical activity and brain training interventions.

Professor Maeder will discuss the process of developing the platform and the pilot trial that involved 60 participants.

Other speakers from the University of Adelaide and SA Health will share information on the strategies needed to help people not only live longer, but healthier lives, in our ageing populations, and update the audience on some of the work being undertaken by the Office for Ageing Well to make technology accessible to people of all ages.
