Staff and students unite for women

Flinders University’s annual Lab Coat Challenge will be held in the Plaza at Bedford Park tomorrow, gathering staff and students, all disciplines and genders, in recognition of International Women’s Day (IWD, last Sunday March 8), gender equity and women in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine.)

Together with inspiring speeches and photo opportunities – individual poses courtesy of FUSA and the group image at 12:55pm – this year’s event includes free lab coats for students, a movie screening complete with free movie snacks, and prizes.

Giveaways:

  • Students registering to attend can request a free lab coat on the day, a large quantity is available across several sizes
  • Two x $50 vouchers for the best STEMM decorated lab coat for students from the College of Science and Engineering
  • Two x $50 vouchers for the best  STEMM decorated lab coat for students from the College of Medicine and public Health

The Lab Coat Challenge unites the Flinders University community each year thanks to its STEM Women Branching Out group.

Several coats are available for staff to borrow on the day but numbers are limited.
