Applied Technologies diploma launches

Supporting a nation-wide push for Industry 4.0 upskilling, the nation’s first industry-based Diploma of Applied Technologies has been launched in South Australia by SAGE Automation’s Skills Lab.

Innovation and Skills Minister David Pisoni was guest of honour at a virtual on-line launch on Friday 8 May, which marked the start of studies for the first cohort of participants.

Skills Lab General Manager Laura Mabikafola said the Diploma was designed to enable industry to harness the benefits of connected technology and big data by empowering people to develop highly sought after skills within Australia.

Professor in Innovation Giselle Rampersad says Flinders University will partner as a third party provider to Skills Lab to collaborate on ‘Work in Industry 4.0’ and ‘Commission a Cyber-Physical system’ in the future.
