Plate up to tackle cancer

The Flinders Foundation is unable to hold its signature event – the Pink Yellow Blue Ball – this year, so is asking supporters to Plate Up for Cancer instead.

The ball is an annual highlight for those working in, or associated with, the Flinders health and university precinct and raises vital funds for cancer research, prevention and care.

This year, our community is asked instead to gather colleagues, family and friends and host a morning tea, picnic, dinner party or other food-filled event to support patients and their families affected by cancer. Efforts will go a long way to support the 2,500 patients diagnosed with cancer at the Flinders medical precinct each year, and help Flinders University researchers continue their inspiring work in the battle against cancer.

Got to www.plateup.org.au for more information or to get started, or contact Nicole Carey at Flinders Foundation on 8204 5216 or by email.

A limited number of tickets are also available to an exclusive Plate Up for Cancer restaurant experience on Saturday, 31 October. Call 8204 5216 or email events@flindersfoundation.org.au for more information.
