Two staff members sought for Council

Nominations are sought for one professional and one academic staff member to join the University Council for a term of two years, commencing in January 2021.

The Flinders University Council is the governing body of the University and is responsible for overseeing its management and development, including devising and approving strategic plans and major policies, and monitoring and reviewing the University’s operation.

Council membership must include one professional staff member elected by professional staff, and one academic staff member elected by academic staff.

How to nominate

A unique link to the nomination form was emailed to eligible staff on 28 September. This must be completed together with a Fit and Proper Person form (downloadable from the electronic nomination form) and submitted prior to 12 noon on Thursday 15 October 2020.

Please do not forward the email you received to colleagues, as the link to the nomination form is specific to each staff member.

Please note that both forms must be received for a nomination to be valid.

Nominees are invited to include a personal statement in the nomination form no longer than 150 words, which will be available to voters (in the case of an election with more than one nomination received in a category.)
