Examining US-Aus Alliance in the digital age

The Alliance: Next Generation workshop hosted by the Jeff Bleich Centre is a professional development opportunity for anyone interested in the US-Australia alliance and cybersecurity.

The full-day workshop, being held at the Flinders Victoria Square campus on Friday 26 February, is an interactive experience and includes an industry networking breakfast, security simulation, panel sessions, as well as a policy pitch competition where participants will test their policy making skills to win a share in the USD$1500 prize pool.

Workshop participants will hear from several special guests representing government and the cybersecurity sector, featuring the US Consul-General, Michael Kleine, and former US Ambassador to Australia, Jeffrey Bleich.

Guests at the workshop will include Professor Don DeBats, Flinders University’s lead of American Studies and Director of the Jeff Bleich Centre, along with Professor Paul Arbon, Director of the Torrens Resilience Institute, and Tory Shepherd, columnist for The Advertiser.

The workshop is free to attend, however a short application is required to be sent to jbc.research@flinders.edu.au before the extended deadline of 5pm on Friday 12 February. For more details, visit the website flinders.edu.au/jbc
