Get familiar with our Code of Conduct

How we conduct ourselves reflects upon Flinders University as an institution, and our colleagues and collaborators.

It’s important we observe and adhere to high standards.

It’s expected all staff would be aware of the University’s core values and ethos, which provides the foundation for our institutional standards.

Following consultation last year, an 11-point Code of Conduct has been developed, details of which can be found on our staff portal.

The 11 points of the Code are underpinned by standards that are more closely defined in our policies and procedures, various legislation, and industrial agreements.

The Code sets out the University’s expectations of its staff and affiliates, and your responsibilities and obligations, and is intended to foster a culture of courtesy and respect.

“Please familiarise yourself with its contents,” says Steve Barrett, director, People and Culture at Flinders University. “Should you need advice or support in relation to the Code please discuss with your supervisor in the first instance.”
