Your child’s chance to run with the Reds

It’s the final game of the season for Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium on Thursday 3 June – and here’s an opportunity for your children to be part of a Miniroo football game during the half-time interval of the main game.

As part of Flinders University’s partnership agreement with Adelaide United, this special offer for the children of Flinders staff will provide a unique fun family outing as part of the Adelaide United versus Western Sydney Wanderers FC match, for which gates open at 6pm and the main match kicks off at 7.05pm.

Children selected to play will be aged 11 and under, and already play for a recreational soccer club. On Thursday 3 June, they need to attend a match day rehearsal shortly before the gates open, meeting at 5.45pm at Gate 6: Western End of Coopers Stadium next to ticket office.

After a briefing and collection of tickets by players and their families, the junior players will need to meet again 35 minutes into the first half at an agreed location, and will be briefed further on what is planned.

The junior players will be involved in matches for 12-15 minutes, and once the coordinator motions, the participants exit the field of play and are escorted at a meeting point, then returned to their parents.

Players should wear their club tracksuit to the match (if possible) and wear their club playing strip for matches at half-time, arriving at the stadium in trainers and having boots to change in to for matches. Adelaide United will provide bibs for the matches.

If you’re interested in registering your child to be a part of this fun family event, please contact Flinders University’s Manager, Partnerships and Events Chantel Crossman by calling 8201 2965 or email chantel.crossman@flinders.edu.au
