The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan started the INNO-vation Program to create new and revolutionary innovation globally, and the program offers commendations and up to 3,000,000 JPY in support for various ideas, technologies, products and creations.

In 2020, applications to the program opened up worldwide and people from all over the globe received support for their ideas, technologies, and creative endeavours.

Applications to the 2021 INNO-vation Program are now being accepted globally, without regard to nationality, residence or age – with applications closing at 6.30 (ACST) on Monday, 2 August 2nd. Applications can be submitted via the application form on the official website.

Applicants can focus on the INNO Disruptive Challenge, promoting innovation within the Information and Communications Technology field, and the INNO Generation Award which recognises cutting edge technologies, even before knowing the best way to utilise them.
