Lace up your running shoes for a good cause

Take on the City-Bay this year and join the Flinders Foundation – Ryan Hodges Fund team to help raise funds for cancer treatment.

Ryan and Helen Hodges, Senior Advisor Orientation and Transition, have partnered with the Flinders Foundation to fund a scholarship in the Precision Dosing Research team, in the hopes of making individualised cancer treatment widely available, providing all patients with doses of drugs tailored for their own body.

Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer seven years ago, and credits individualised, precision dosing for giving him more time with his family.

To be a part of the fundraising efforts, register for the City-Bay and head to the Flinders Foundation – Ryan Hodges Fund page and join the fundraising team.

You’ll get specialised training tips from Chris Rawling, former professional triathlete and Exercise Physiologist from Flinders Sport & Fitness, and the opportunity to join Flinders Sport & Fitness running group which is held every Wednesday morning at 6am, also run by Chris.

If running isn’t your thing, you can still support the team by donating here.
