Crime colloquium tackles the big issues

Major crime issues besieging Australia will be tackled by experts from the College of Business, Government and Law in the latest installment of the Flinders University Criminology and Criminal Justice Colloquium Series.

Associate Professor Caitlin Hughes will present a session on the patterns of methamphetamine use and demographic profiles in regional South Australia. She will also discuss a new project funded by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission that is triangulating wastewater with a prospective 90-day survey of regional alcohol and other drug (AOD) consumption in South Australia.

PhD candidate Thomas Knight will present research from a qualitative study of a single Australian police service and will explore the relationship between policy and practice on the Australian domestic violence front line.

The event will run from 11am to noon on Monday 9 August – and you can register for the event here.
