Campus updates

We’re working to enhance and maintain the spaces across our campuses, so please be aware of upcoming works around Flinders University.

Yunggorendi crane lift

There will be a crane lift as part of the Yunggorendi Cultural Space project on the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September.

This will take place from the upper level of car park 1. From Friday 24 September, there will be restrictions to this section of the car park, to enable the crane to access the existing site compound at the bottom of the pedestrian walkway.

Over the weekend, steel walkways will be lifted in sections from this location, up and over the pedestrian walkway and into the construction site adjacent Yunggorendi Mande.

For safety reasons, please avoid this area during this time.

Safety switch testing at Victoria Square

There will be safety switch (RCD) testing at the Flinders Victoria Square building between 6am and 8am on Thursday 23 September and Friday 24 September. This testing will be undertaken progressively over the two mornings, resulting in a once-only brief power loss on each floor. Please turn off or shut down electrical appliances such as PCs and monitors on the previous evening .

Library Plaza canopy walkway

Until Friday 1 October, works will continue on installing an access walkway and safety mesh on the library canopy roof adjacent to the plaza. This will provide safe maintenance and operational access to the library canopy roof for our staff and contractors.

Alternative study spaces are available in Level 1 of the Hub, if required.

Thanks for your cooperation and patience during the first weeks of this work. Please continue to follow the pedestrian signage placed within this area.
