Applications have opened for Eureka Prizes

Applications are now open for scientists at all levels to enter submissions for the 2022 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes (AMEP) – for those making an impact at the beginning of their career through to scientific leaders at the top of their game.

Known as the Oscars of Australian Science, the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes are the nation’s most comprehensive national science awards, honouring excellence across the areas of research and innovation, leadership, science engagement and school science.

Entries for the 2022 Eureka Prizes close at 7pm AEST on Friday 6 May. Finalists will be announced on Wednesday 27 July and the winners announced on Wednesday 31 August.

Presented annually in partnership with some of the nation’s leading scientific institutions, government organisations, universities and corporations, the Eureka Prizes serve to raise the profile of science and boost scientific engagement in the community by celebrating outstanding achievements.

Since the prizes were established in 1990, more than $4 million in prize money and 451 Eureka Prizes have been awarded.
