Engagement Australia Chair and President, Professor Jim Nyland, says the pandemic has universities reflect on the direction and strategy of their engagement practise, which has boosted their efforts to cultivate reciprocal partnerships within their communities.
“It is an honour to be able to recognise the innovation and resilience displayed by a sector itself under pressure from the impacts of COVID-19,” says Professor Nyland. “Many have risen to the challenge of addressing the social inequalities that were amplified by a global pandemic.
“In 2021, Engagement Australia received a record number of award applications, and this year we look forward to celebrating even more examples of impactful and purpose-driven engagement across Australia and New Zealand.”
Submissions for this year’s awards close on Wednesday 3 August 2022.
