Weathering the storm for a Fearless future

Join Dr Graziela Miot da Silva and climate experts on Wednesday 10 August for a Fearless Conversation about the science of climate change and how the environment is responding to a variable and changing world.

Coastal geomorphologist and oceanographer Dr da Silva will be joined by viticulturist Malcolm Leask, owner and director of McLaren Vale winery Hither & Yon, which is South Australia’s first carbon neutral-certified wine brand.

The panel will examine the Federal Government’s new climate change bill, which is committed to a 43% emissions reduction by 2030, and discuss what it will mean to the wider community. They will also investigate how extreme weather events and changes to seasonal conditions are affecting our community and economy, as well as the effect on specific industries such as agriculture.

The live recording will be conducted on Wednesday 10 August at 12.30pm in Victoria Square.
