World-renowned play Oleanna is coming to the Adelaide Festival Centre, and Flinders University staff can save $10 on tickets.

Considered among the most significant plays of the late 20th century, Oleanna – which is being performed in the Space Theatre at the Adelaide Festival Centre from Thursday 17 to Saturday 26 November – is a modern masterpiece that analyses power, language and sexual harassment.

Oleanna examines how a meeting between a male college Professor and his female student turns from a discussion about grades into a modern reprise of The Inquisition. Innocuous remarks turn damning, banter gives way to heated assault, and the relationship between teacher and student turns into an X-ray of the mechanisms of censorship, abuse and tragedy.

With Flinders graduates responsible for directing and starring in the play, Oleanna provides a powerful showcase of the talents of Flinders’ arts alumni.
