Free flu vaccinations available soon

Free Quadrivalent Influenza vaccinations will soon be available for staff thanks to the Flinders University Staff Health and Wellbeing program.

Staff can access the free vaccination either on campus or with a voucher that you can redeem at a local participating pharmacy.

Note: This program is open to staff only and is strictly one booking per person for either an onsite booking or a voucher. Onsite bookings and vouchers numbers are limited.

Onsite bookings

If you wish to register for an onsite appointment, click on one of the below locations to book.

  • Tonsley Campus, Tonsley Building, Clovelly Park:

Your flu vaccination will be administered by a highly experienced immunisations team.

During your appointment, the following will occur:

  1. The nurse will ask questions to ensure it is safe for you to have the vaccine.
  2. The nurse may not swab the skin or wear gloves before you receive your vaccination as per the Australian Best Practice Standards.
  3. The nurse will administer the vaccine.
  4. You will wait in close proximity to the nurse for 15 minutes after your vaccination.

Please note: there is a mandatory requirement for anyone who has received a vaccine to stay in close proximity of the vaccination service for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccination. This helps our nurse to effectively manage any adverse events following immunisation (AEFI).
