New recruitment process is now live

A new recruitment process at Flinders University is now live in Workday, providing improved user experience and process flexibility while ensuring the progress of candidates in the system.

Key changes in the new process are:

  • Streamlined Interview stage – Removed tasks in Workday: Schedule interview, Manage interview feedback and Manager Schedules Additional Interview.
  • Streamlined Reference Check stage – Removed tasks in Workday: Provide referee details and Provide working rights, NPC and WWCC or Ochre Card tasks that went to Candidates.
  • Elimination of approval in Workday for Recruiter to confirm the Hiring Manager’s redirecting a Candidate.
  • Implementation of a new Onboarding message.
  • Granting access to Hiring Managers and Delegate/Admin Support to “bulk” move Candidates in Workday.
  • Granting access to Hiring Manager to assign a Delegate/Admin Support in Workday.
  • Implementation of new disposition notices, which will not trigger a message to Candidate/s.
  • Revision of notifications going to Candidates to reflect updated teams and processes.
  • Implementation of new notification to keep Hiring Managers up to date with the Recruitment activities in Workday.
  • Improved Job Posts which include the required certifications for the position.
  • Implementation of Candidate Pools for ‘Appointible – not preferred Candidates’.
  • Implementation of a new background check process – for collecting all applicable pre-employment checks.
  • Implementation of new functionality is Workday: Job requisition notes, Job Application notes and Supplementary Questionnaires.
  • Changed the Job Requisition funnel to reflect the new process flow in Workday.
  • Revision of application status messages to improve Candidate experience (Candidate Home Account).
