CNHS highlights India for its Festival of Food

A small group of passionate foodies will transform the Sturt campus into a fabulous Indian food fair when the College of Nursing and Health Sciences presents the 2023 Festival of Food on on Wednesday 27 September.

This year, the Festival of Food celebrates Indian culture and attendees will be able to learn while immersing themselves in the food and entertainment delights of India, including;

  • Free lunch offering
  • Mango Lassi tastings
  • Indian dance performances and workshops
  • Free Henna
  • Indian music and market stalls

Further details and menu options will be provided closer to the event date. Dietary requirements such as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free will be catered for.

Places will be limited for this free event – so please register your interest to attend the Festival of Food in the Sturt Gym by booking a session time between 11.30am and 1.30pm that reflects when you would like to attend, to help for catering purposes.

This is a campus activation project which will invite staff members from all across the University to join us between 11.30am-1.30pm and enjoy learning opportunities while immersing themselves in the food and cultural activities.

The organisation team, comprising Professor Michelle Miller, Emily Lawrie, Cheryl Haynes, Denise O’Connell, Mitali Mukherjee and Alicia Bell, have created the Festival of Food as a campus activation project, but they would love to see staff from all areas of the University enjoy this event.

You can register your interest to attend the Festival of Food HERE .
