Nominations are now open for the 2023 Flinders Professional Staff Awards, to recognise the outstanding efforts of individual staff and teams who exemplify Flinders University’s ethos and values.
At Flinders University, our ethos and values define the way we carry out our work, inform the decisions we make and shape how we interact with each other.
There are seven award categories in 2023, including the inaugural Flinders Wellbeing Award:
- Student-centred: Recognising people who focus on student success; empower students as partners; encourage the student voice; provide timely and meaningful feedback; celebrate student achievement.
- Innovation: Recognising people who solve problems by “thinking outside the box”; promote personal enterprise and creativity; encourage teamwork and collaboration; be responsive and innovative when faced with new challenges; actively engage with business and industry.
- Integrity: Recognising people who maintain the highest professional and ethical standards at all times; be accountable for our actions and follow through on our commitments; embrace diversity and promote equity, inclusion and social responsibility; treat others with courtesy and respect; foster a safe and healthy environment for work and study.
- Courage: Recognising people who trust and empower; seize opportunities and embrace change; learn from experience; be open and transparent in our communications; pursue critical and open inquiry.
- Excellence: Recognising people who strive for excellence in every endeavour; commit to quality and continuous improvement; celebrate our achievements; deliver exceptional levels of service; develop future leaders.
- Wellbeing: Recognising people who demonstrate outstanding commitment in promoting and supporting wellbeing at Flinders University; implement and promote strategy, policy, systems or initiatives that have a direct and positive impact on staff and/or students.
If you know of an individual or team showing any of the above qualities, nominate them now for an award. Nominations close on Friday 25 August.
