The semi-final of Flinders University’s 3MT competition is being held on Friday, and Flinders staff and students are encouraged to cheer on the semi-finalists as they present their three-minute theses before a live audience.
Each year, the 3MT competition asks Flinders PhD students to pitch their thesis in only three minutes to help develop their communication skills, boost their career and place them in the running for the title of Asia-Pacific 3MT champion.
The standard of this year’s competition has been phenomenal, and the 12 semi-finalists, who represent all six Colleges at Flinders, will be covering topics from space infrastructure to bowel cancer in young people.
