Repairs works to Car Park 5 and lane closures on University Drive

Vehicle to Grid (V2G) Chargers Trial – Stage 2 Works 

On Tuesday 26 September, the installation of 15 new smart electric vehicle chargers will commence in car parks P2 and P3. This forms Stage 2 of the smart technology trial enabling connected electric vehicles to help Flinders better manage electrical loads. At this stage, the new chargers will be ready to use by early November.

Walkway Repair Works – Top Level Car Park P5

This Friday 22 September from 8am to 7pm the concrete ramp from the top level of car park P5 will be closed for repairs. If you are unable to use the stairs, please be sure to park on the lower level. Additional accessible parking bays will be provided on the lower level for the duration of the works.

Tonsley Main Building – Planned Power Outage for High Voltage Maintenance 

This Saturday 23 September, there will be no electricity to Tonsley main building from 7am to 5pm due to essential safety maintenance of the High Voltage transformers. When you leave work on Friday remember to switch off any electrical items.

The Pods, Line Zero and the Digital Transformation Lab will NOT be affected by this outage.

Car Park P12 and University Drive

For the next week, University Drive will have one incoming and one outgoing lane open near HMRB. Please use Flinders Drive where possible or allow additional time to move through University Drive. Be aware of reduced speed limits and changing conditions (include for pedestrians).

Works also continue at the Sports Road roundabout and near the entrance to car park 12, with traffic management in place. Access parks have been temporarily relocated to the north of the end of the train line. Please take additional care as you move through the area and follow all signage.

Advance Notice: High Voltage Cable Trenching – Car Park P7

From 4 to 20 October, a section of car park P7 will be closed while high voltage cable trenches are dug for a new transformer in the Biology Building. Temporary access parks will be made available immediately adjacent. Pedestrian access to Anchor Court will remain open, but please take note of signs and exclusion zones.
