Flinders University alumni are kicking goals with a range of prestigious awards and Fellowships to add to their resumes.
Three Flinders graduates were recognised in the 2023 Educators SA Teaching Awards.
Ailish Ling (BEd(MidSecSch),BA’20) and Grace Gava (BEd(SecSch),Blang)’20) were awarded the Minister’s Language Scholarship Educator awards in the Educators SA World Teacher’s Day Awards. The $8000 scholarships will enable Ailish and Grace to undertake language immersion courses overseas, to improve their language proficiency and increase cultural understanding.
Amber Mausolf (MTeach (Secondary) ’23) won the Educators SA Flinders University Outstanding Graduate Award for her ability to build strong relationships with all students and other educators, trying new ways to engage students based on their interests and personalities, and being willing to take on all the extended tasks of teaching. Graduates Katerina Bryant and Sarah Pearce were awarded the inaugural SA Literary Fellowships, which are offered through a partnership between Writers SA and the State Library of South Australia to writers living in South Australia. Katerina was awarded a Mid-Career Fellowship to the value of $10,000, while Sarah received the Emerging Fellowship to the value of $3,000. Read more about the Fellowship announcement here.
