A life Rearranged

Friend of Flinders Julie McCrossin AM recently sat down with fellow cancer survivor Kathleen Watt to discuss Kathleen’s new book, which describes her treatment and recovery of her cancer diagnosis. Rearranged – An Opera Singer’s Facial Cancer and Life Transposed provides an in-depth reflection on the patient experience.

A head and neck cancer survivors advocate, Julie worked with incoming Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Raymond Chan earlier this year on global research that highlighted the importance of cancer patient navigators on improving medical outcomes by increasing screening rates and reducing waiting times for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Read more about that research here.
