Holly jolly campus updates

The new signs continue…

Check out our brand new Campus Bus Service and Car Park Entry signs around Bedford Park, Sturt and Tonsley. If you’ve been watching progress and wondering about delays, ask us some time about the amount of rock underneath the soil surface at Bedford Park!

Sports Road Temporary Closure, January 2024

From Monday 8 January, Sports Road will be closed between University Drive and Service Road until 24 January to complete kerbing, footpath surfacing, retaining wall and landscaping for the Health Medical & Research Building precinct.

  • A traffic controller will be located on University Drive at the entrance to Sports Road between 6am and 6pm only, with appropriate signage and road barriers in place, outside these hours.
  • Access to all car parks will be maintained, with access to carpark 12 via Main South Road and Flinders Drive.
  • Pedestrian access on the northern side of Sports Road will be open
  • The Campus Connector bus will be diverted via Sturt Road, Main South Road and Flinders Drive. The Station Express will not be operating at this time.

To limit traffic build-up for people leaving the hospital precinct, traffic turning right at the T-junction from Service Road onto Flinders Drive may be diverted left on Flinders Drive and around University Drive to Sturt Road.

Please drive slowly, walk carefully and be aware of changing traffic conditions.

Sturt Campus Water Outage – Recycled Water Project

As a part of the recycled water network project, there will be a water services outage across the Sturt campus on Saturday 6 January between 7.00am to 6.00pm to upgrade the potable water supplies pipework. Buildings impacted include: ASMS, Sturt Gym, Sturt Library, Sturt South, Sturt East, Sturt West and Sturt North. The outage will affect: tap water, toilet flushing, showers and any other equipment that requires water. A/C temperature controls will not be available (however fans will be operating).

Flinders Living Footpaths

Some of the footpaths around Flinders Living will be getting an upgrade between now and the end of January 2024. Exclusion zones and pedestrian redirections will be in place, and a work compound will be set up in car park P22. If you do use this area, be aware of increased vehicle and machinery traffic.
