Art prize for First Nations focus on health

The 2024 Acquisitive First Nations Art Competition – presented by Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA – offers great encouragement for any artist who identifies as a First Nations person who resides in regions of SA where Flinders rural campuses are located.

The 2024 competition carries a Major First Prize of $7,000 for the artwork judged to best address the theme “Whole Health: Whole of Community”.

Entries are now open to anyone aged 16 years and over who identifies as a First Nations Person residing in one of the following South Australian regional areas:

  • Murray Mallee/Riverland
  • Barossa Valley
  • Murraylands/Murray Bridge
  • Fleurieu Peninsula/Victor Harbor
  • Greater Green Triangle

This innovative competition serves as one of the many community relationships being fostered to form the backbone of Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA.

Entries can be submitted from now until the competition closes on 31 May, and completed Entry Forms and Artworks can be delivered to any of the Flinders University Rural & Remote campuses in regions throughout SA.
