Welcome Week at the New City Campus

It was wonderful to see so many staff enjoying and enthusiastically participating in Welcome Week held at the Flinders City Campus on Monday and Tuesday.

The event featured plenty of exciting merchandise giveaways, refreshments, entertainment, exploring and touring our new campus and also included a special Cultural Awareness session hosted by Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Simone Tur and Associate Professor Ali Baker.

Special thanks go to all staff who attended the Staff Welcome Week, and we look forward to seeing you again and more often at the New City Campus.

Student O’Week on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 will see Flinders will host its inaugural O’Week activities at the New City Campus. As with all O’Week events, there will plenty of engaging activities to help students get acquainted with the campus, including tours, group activities, information sessions, entertainment, food and giveaways.

Update on Staff Orientation Tours

From 26 February, staff are invited to join daily onsite Orientation Tours without a booking. These tours will commence by the banner on the ground floor of the Flinders University entrance and will operate daily at 10am and 1pm. With a significant number of staff having already participated in Orientation Tours, we will assess future demand and communicate any updates to staff accordingly. Additionally, the Online Orientation guide which provides essential information about the building, operating hours, security, accessibility, floor maps and more remains available for staff online.

Access to the New City Campus

Students, staff and contractors who hold an active Flinders University identification ID card have been provided with automatic swipe access to the City Campus. There is no need to actively request access to the building. The New City Campus is open from 7am to 10pm, with ID card swipe access required to enter the building after 6pm.
