Cosmos explains how business works

Flinders University Dean of Business Associate Professor Angie Shafei will help reveal “The Secret Lives of Business and Commerce” for the next Cosmos Science City free lunchtime seminar, being held at The Science Exchange in Adelaide on 5 March.

The theme of disclosing more science-related information about business is especially pertinent in light of the current global economic climate – and Associate Professor’s role in conversation also helps shine a light on the opening of Flinders University’s new city campus.

‘The world of business and commerce can sometimes feel like a big mystery, but there’s a lot of science going on behind the scenes,” says the Cosmos website, explaining the premise this public seminar. “So, it’s time we pull the veil on this exclusive club and delve into the fascinating ways in which business and commerce helps society to thrive.”

Everyone is encouraged to attend this free event to learn about fascinating studies around hybrid work models, and other ways in which business work – in addition to being able to direct questions to the experts.

Associate Professor Angie Shafei will be joined on the discussion panel by business and commerce experts Associate Professor Chad Chiu from the University of Adelaide and Dr Xiao Lin from the University of South Australia.

When: Tuesday March 5, 12.30-1.30pm

Where: The Science Exchange, 55 Exchange Place – and live streamed.
