Check out works around campus this week

University Drive Lane Closures

On Monday 4 March, final infrastructure for pedestrian lights on University Drive will be installed. Traffic management will be in place, with alternate lane closures. Works will be completed between 10am and 4pm to avoid peak traffic times, but please follow redirections and speed restrictions.

Test & Tag Program Update

The RCD Testing program across many of the North Ridge buildings is now complete, while Test & Tag is taking a little longer due to limited access to electrical appliances. To catch up on the schedule, contractors will also be doing Testing & Tagging after business hours (including weekends). If you receive email notification and contractors are yet to move through your area, please be aware that your appliances will need to be powered down to be tested. If you are leaving your laptop at work or if you use a PC, please make sure that you save your work before you leave each day.

Tree removal – Registry Road

On Saturday 2 March, contractors will be removing some conifer trees along the pedestrian ramp at the western end of Registry Road – which connects the Registry Road precinct with the main entry level for Health Sciences Building. These conifers were identified on a scheduled PFD night walk to cause a line-of-sight safety issue. A selection of smaller native plants will be planted in autumn to replace them. The ramp will be closed on 2 March while works are being done. Please contact Security if you need access assistance.

A new app for Campus Bus Services

Head to the Campus Bus Services web page for directions about how to download the Willunga Charter App, which is Flinders’ new bus service provider. The new app will show you real-time locations for each bus service.

New Car Park Signs

All Flinders University Car Park signs have been replaced with new branded signs that display clear information about the car park conditions.

New lift for Central Library

The replacement elevator at the rear of the Central Library, located near the loading dock, is now complete. The new lift provides greatly improved ride quality, being smooth and quiet.
