The eLearning Team has just released a new gradebook feature in FLO, which means that Gradebooks can now be set to show letter grades only.

With this new function enabled, students can no longer see traditional points and percentages, which will help to place a greater focus on qualitative feedback.

To enable this feature, topic coordinators can edit the settings in their course and tick the Restrict view of quantitative data box.

Topic coordinators are also reminded that it is essential to set up gradebooks before the semester begins, to avoid causing confusion and distress among students. Because students receive email notifications each time assignment groups are altered in Canvas, late changes can lead to student confusion and distress.
